✔ Do not refrigerate
✔ Wash hands before handling

What Happens Next

Days 1–7: Caterpillars eat and grow rapidly

Days 8–10: They climb and form a chrysalis

Days 18–25: Butterflies emerge

Painted Lady caterpillars are hardy and beginner-friendly.
Most problems come from over-handling — less is more.

You do not need to do anything daily.

When They Form a Chrysalis

Do not touch or move

Do not open the lid

Do not mist or add moisture
This is the most delicate stage 🧡

Butterfly Emergence
When butterflies emerge:

Let wings fully dry (2–4 hours)

Keep cup upright

Avoid direct sunlight
